Chain guides
Many machine builders use chain guides.
These are often applied as an alternativ for metal sections, in order to reduce chain wear and to deaden the noise.
KTN has in stock very wear-resistant chain quides for roller chains according to DIN 8187 and DIN 8188.
For special roller chains or conveyor chains special sections can be developed.
Standard chain guides are made of HMPE 1000.
HMPE 1000 has the following properties:
• High wear resistance
• Good sliding properties
• Resistant to chemicals / moisture
• High breaking strenght
• Non-adhering
• Vibration damping
